Still…The King of New York

May 21, 19-seventy-something….sorry I had a flash back  1972, in Brooklyn, New York known then as only Christopher Wallace, a star was born. All of my readers know Biggie was special. Whether you are from the East Coast or not, there have been times when we’ve all belted the lyrics of a Biggie joint proudly!

Well today is that legends birthday, many have come but few have been able to reign supreme and hold as tightly to the title of “King of New York” as The Notorious BIG. Unfortunately his time in the limelight only lasted for 6 years due to his death on March 9, 1997 on a trip to California.

At the age of 24 Christopher Wallace was murdered, it was a shock to the Hip Hop Community, just like the death of Tupac Shakur. We were provided with good music to last a lifetime, these men left their legacy, both left a memoir on a tape, on a cd, there’s guaranteed to be a piece of their art somewhere around. On earth, the two seemed to despise one another (according to the public eye) but after death you can’t mention one without mentioning the other within the same sentence.

Happy Birthday BIG!
